We have customers who have significant limitations in their email capacities (satellite communications) and need to keep our files as light as possible. ![]() ![]() We have also tested InDesign, it does not meet our requirements. We have tested Illustrator in house, Yes it does the same thing, but it produces a very heavy file which we need to avoid. The secondary reason is that the final output file is very lightweight. The main reason for using Freehand is that it copies text and pastes without any change to the formating of the text. So, I am looking for either advice on how to force Freehand to permanently accept this serial number or an alternative software (I know it is long overdue). I am wondering if the remote activation server is down/gone/mia I tried to deactivate the old installation as per the instructions and that machine refuses to deactivate. It has to be re-entered each time the User starts Freehand. The issue is that the serial number we have for Freehand (which is accepted by this Win8 installation as valid) does not get activated when it is entered. I recently (a month ago) migrated one of those Users to Windows 8.1pro and installed Freehand. We have a couple of Users who currently rely on Freehand MX (version 11.0.2)
